This occasion emphasises the significance of the law as a reliable framework that safeguards rights, deters violations, ensures the performance of obligations, provides governing rules for all activities, and regulates the obligations, transactions, and dealings of individuals and entities. The rule of law has been an integral part of the UAE's social and institutional culture, and is crucial in enhancing the country's position as a preferred place to live, where the rights of residents from over 200 nationalities are protected without discrimination. In honour of this year’s International Law Day, the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai extends its gratitude and wishes to the nation's legal and legislative professionals, and reiterates its commitment to continue the development of a more flexible and sustainable legal system that supports our nation's ambitious goals and strategies, and strengthens the UAE's standing as a nation of justice, equity, and rule of law."
