Pursuant to its Establishing Decree No. (23) of 2014, the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) is the competent entity in the Emirate authorised to provide legal services related to the legislative process. This includes issuing and publishing authoritative legal advice memoranda on the interpretation of local legislation in force in the Emirate. The SLC also provides legal opinions and advice on any matter or case related to legislative texts based on inquiries received from the Government and Government entities.
Government Entities may request legal opinion and advice by clicking on the request submission link, logging in, providing the necessary information and data, and clicking the submit button.
Furthermore, the Dubai Legislation Digital Platform provides, through the Dubai Legislation Portal, a number of legal opinions issued by the SLC. This aims to disseminate legal knowledge within the community and enable Government Entities to refer to these opinions to answer their future inquiries.
