Repealing Law No. (4) of 1994
Concerning the Local Penal Code of 1970[1]

We, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai,
After perusal of:
Federal Law by Decree No. (31) of 2021 Issuing the Crime and Punishment Law and its amendments;
The Local Penal Code of 1970; and
Law No. (4) of 1994 Concerning the Local Penal Code of 1970,
Do hereby issue this Law.

The above-mentioned Law No. (4) of 1994 is hereby repealed.
The Local Penal Code of 1970 will continue in force, to the extent that it does not contradict the above-mentioned Federal Law by Decree No. (31) of 2021, any other superseding legislation, or the legislation in force in the Emirate.
This Law will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into force on the day on which it is published.
