20 Mar 2025

“The International Day of Happiness highlights the vital role  happiness plays in people’s lives and its profound impact on community well-being and development. Recognising the importance of happiness, governments around the world are increasingly incorporating happiness into their strategic frameworks.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is deservedly renowned for its strong focus on happiness and well-being, striving to provide a high quality of life for community members. The UAE has introduced a wide range of initiatives and policies to promote happiness as a way of life for its citizens and residents alike. Through this commitment, the UAE has emerged at the forefront with a leading standing among the world’s most prosperous and highest ranking countries in terms of quality of life and well-being.

In the UAE, the concept of happiness is deeply embedded in government work. It not only enhances employee satisfaction and customer experience, but also significantly boosts efficiency and productivity, transforming workplaces into hubs of creativity and innovation. On this occasion, the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of happiness within the organisation. Furthermore, we are dedicated to strengthening the legislative ecosystem that supports the UAE’s vision of positioning the country as a global leader in happiness and well-being.”
