We are honoured to participate in the national celebration of Emirati Children's Day, which signifies the UAE's continued commitment to protecting the rights of children and providing the optimal environment to flourish. This occasion is a testament to the UAE’s unwavering dedication to instilling child protection as a culture and social obligation, while underscoring the high priority given by the UAE government to empowering children to become leaders of a sustainable future that is built on innovation. This year's Emirati Children's Day is centered around the theme of "The Right of the Child to a Sustainable Environment," highlighting the important link between protecting children's rights and promoting sustainability to preserve the environment and its resources for future generations. This is especially crucial for children, who are particularly vulnerable to the effects of resource scarcity and climate challenges. Establishing a robust legislative and regulatory framework that ensures the protection of children has always been a top priority in the UAE. To this end, Emirati legislators have enacted legislation that focuses on meeting the children’s physical and psychological health needs from a legal perspective, laying the groundwork for a comprehensive and sustainable infrastructure that supports and advances social development. On this national occasion, the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai reaffirms its unwavering commitment to bolstering the pillars of a more sustainable and comprehensive legislation, where the protection and welfare of children take precedence.
