Statement by H.E. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, SLC Secretary General, on Emirati Children’s Day
15 Mar 2025

“Emirati Children’s Day is a national occasion that reaffirms our pride in and appreciation for the remarkable strides the UAE has made in childcare and the protection of children’s rights. Guided by the vision of our wise leadership, the nation prioritises the welfare and safety of children. In line with this commitment, the UAE has established a comprehensive legislative framework that safeguards children’s rights and provides a safe, supportive environment for their healthy development, empowering them to actively shape the future. The UAE stands as a global model for supporting children at all levels, ensuring their stability and happiness, while nurturing a generation of future leaders who will advance the nation’s progress and prosperity.

On this important occasion, we at the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) reaffirm our dedication to fostering a culture of respect for children’s rights within society. We aim to raise awareness of the significance of creating an integrated environment that guarantees their rights to education, healthcare, and holistic development. Our commitment to strengthening national efforts remains unwavering as we continue to enhance legal and legislative frameworks that protect children, in alignment with the UAE’s ambitious vision for a brighter future for generations to come.”
