“This International Women’s Day, we re-emphasise the significant role that women have played in shaping our community, and acknowledge their contribution to the advancement of humanity and society. We especially wish to commend the progress the women’s movement has achieved in the UAE under the leadership of the mother of our nation, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. Sheikha Fatima has undertaken sincere efforts to empower Emirati women and further their contribution to the next fifty years shaping the future of the UAE, becoming one of the top leading countries in the world.
