The Legislation Policy Drafting Project represents a significant milestone in the pursuit of excellence within the government's legislative framework. This project involves developing and revising a comprehensive legislative policy in alignment with the policy-making models approved by the Executive Council, aiming to streamline and enhance the framework that governs legislative work within the government. The primary goal of the project is to establish a set of principles and standards that ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of legislation drafting and implementation, ensuring alignment with the government’s strategic vision and meeting public needs.
Creating a unified policy for legislative work will systematically organise the processes of proposing, drafting, and evaluating legislation, as well as enhance the legislative system's flexibility and ability to address future challenges and keep pace with societal and economic changes. Ultimately, this study will provide a foundation for reshaping and developing the legislative process in a manner that serves the public interest, reflecting the government’s commitment to the principles of good governance and sustainable development.
